Who we are

The Institute for Israel-Africa Relations is a non-profit institution that leads an array of international activities aimed at creating strong political, economic, and technological bridges between the State of Israel and the countries of the African continent. The Institute works to promote geopolitical partnerships aimed at encouraging prosperity and economic growth across the African continent, all while advancing Israel's strategic goals in Africa.

In collaboration with leading academic institutions and research institutes in Israel and around the world, the Institute for Israel-Africa Relations, founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Haim Taib, conducts high-quality research, formulates position papers and concrete solutions, and shapes public discourse on issues between the State of Israel and African countries, out of a commitment to breaking through the boundaries of knowledge, influence, and action of the State of Israel in Africa.

Africa presents Israeli companies, entrepreneurs, and investors with a gateway to the world's fastest-growing economy, while Israel can reciprocate by providing Africa with essential products and services, leveraging its strategic geographical proximity.

Africa is home to remarkable 54 nations that can offer Israel substantial international support at the United Nations and other global organizations, while Israel has the potential to take the lead in initiatives that solidify the geopolitical influence of the United States, Europe, and Western nations across Africa. This effort would serve as a pivotal counterbalance to the detrimental influence of Iran and its allies operating in the region.
