Middle East and Africa Legal Expert

Daniel Winer is a legal expert with a unique specialization in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), recognized as one of the few professionals worldwide to hold two LL.B. degrees from both South Africa and Israel. This rare dual qualification provides him with unparalleled insight into the legal systems and commercial landscapes of both these regions.

Daniel’s expertise spans international commercial law, construction law, renewable energy, high-tech, and international commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

As Head of Legal for Innovation: Africa, Daniel oversees the legal aspects of more than 1,300 water and renewable energy projects across the continent, ensuring their successful implementation and compliance with local and international standards.

In addition to his professional achievements, Daniel spent seven years lecturing on international commercial alternative dispute resolution at one of Israel’s private law schools.

Daniel has also contributed significantly to fostering international legal collaboration. He served for over five years as the Executive Director of the Israel-South Africa Chamber of Commerce, and spearheaded a landmark initiative in Nigeria, enabling law students from the Universities of Nigeria, Benin, and Ilorin to participate in an international law competition in Paris, advancing the African legal community’s presence in the global ADR arena.
